I’m described as loyal, highly motivated, an extrovert, enthusiastic and entertaining. I work very well with others and am eager to learn.
Why were you interested in Medical Sales? What drew you to this industry?
I come from a long line of family in the medical industry. I have always been passionate about the medical field and believe I hold the skills to be successful in medical sales.
How long did you try to get into the industry? What was that experience like?
Not long at all, however I worked in the hospital setting for the last two years and was able to meet many good resources to help me break in the industry.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
Was referred by a surgeon, along with other people in the medical device industry.
What ultimately made you decide to attend the College?
After the extensive interview process and finding out I was accepted I knew it was the right thing to do.
Describe your experience once you began training with Medical Sales College.
I have been taught an endless amount of valuable information at MSC. Attending MSC has provided a great foundation to build on. Without MSC, I would not have the knowledge base nor be in the position that I am in today.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
The biggest thing that has helped me is knowing the medical terminology and anatomy. Before I would not have been able to talk to someone in the medical field and sound like I know what I am talking about. Also knowing the procedures and surgical techniques has impressed my hiring manager.
Please briefly explain your job interview process.
Being in the hospital setting has been the most beneficial aspect to me landing my job. I ended up meeting a surgeon who I consider a mentor and as a result he helped me get in contact with my hiring manager and gave me a good referral. My interview was intimidating with corporate based questions along with determining my personal values that would make me a good candidate for the position. The mood of the interview became more casual and in the end my hiring manager decided I would be a good addition to the team.
Why should someone attend the Medical Sales College if they want this career?
Someone should attend MSC to learn a great foundation of product knowledge, medical terminology, sales training and the ins and outs of the medical device industry. As well as the great resources MSC provides with placement services.
