Tell me a little about your background?
I am a father of two, a medically retired Army Veteran, and went to school for engineering.
Why were you interested in Medical Sales? What drew you to this industry?
This was an opportunity for me to use my intelligence in a sales role rather than in a lab. I felt as if I had a much higher chance for happiness in sales.
How long did you try to get into the industry? What was that experience like?
The MSC route was my way in, I graduated MSC and was hired 3 months post grad.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
What ultimately made you decide to attend the College?
It’s simple. To get to places that no one else is, one must be willing to do things that no one else will.
Describe your experience once you began training with Medical Sales College.
The things that I learned at MSC paid off tenfold. Although that I still have a tremendous amount of knowledge to obtain, I believe that MSC put me at least a year ahead of anyone else that is just breaking into the industry.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
Understanding that Medical Sales is a process, even with interviewing. No one is going to take you serious at first glance, however a never quit attitude, persistence, and knowledgeable preparation are key success in this industry.
Please briefly explain your job interview process.
It was very long and drawn out… Some of these companies take months to hire someone.
Why should someone attend the Medical Sales College if they want this career?
There is no other college that will prepare you for the industry nor that will work by your side to get you a job in the industry that you want to be in.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
For me personally, taking more biology would have been helpful. My engineering and military background did help me though with the discipline that it takes to study this much information in such a short amount of time.
