While obtaining my undergraduate degree I worked as an ER technician and through that experience I found that I have a passion for healthcare. Upon graduation, I landed a job recruiting Anesthesiologists and CRNAs. I did that for a couple years and found that inside sales was not for me. I knew I could make a bigger impact by forward facing my clients and that is what intrigued me about Medical Device Sales.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I wanted to make a positive impact on patients lives and I knew I wanted to do it in a hands on way. That is what led me to pursue a Medical Sales career.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
Referred by a graduate
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I searched for jobs in the field for a few months and did not have much luck. Medical Sales is a tough industry to break into and I knew I could set myself apart from other candidates by doing the MSC program.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
I really enjoyed my training experience at MSC. You truly cannot get the hands on training that you get at MSC anywhere else. It pushed me out of my comfort zone in a good way. My favorite thing about the program was the connections and relationships built that are truly are irreplaceable.

How did MSC add to your existing sales skills to prepare you for a career in medical devices where the products are clinical in nature?
It prepared me to learn and study on my own. It also prepared me to be able to set myself apart by all the advice I was given from my instructors who have had great careers in the field.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
The confidence the program gave me overall, helped me land my job.
How did placement services help accelerate your entry into the medical device sales industry?
Joe helped me so much! We stayed in contact and he shared a few job leads with me as well. He also gave great advice throughout my interview process.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
I would recommend MSC to someone who does not have the outside sales experience needed to break into the industry. It truly sets you apart when you do not have that experience and sets you up for success in the field.
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
3 months. I was working on my MBA and finding a job throughout that time period. I think in the midst of a pandemic it made it more difficult to land a job in the field. It was a learning period for me and I am happy I took my time to search for a job before starting the program. After finishing the program and landing a job, it just nailed in the fact that MSC is a huge and needed foundation for landing a job in the field.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
I had 3 in person interviews. The first was formal, the second I got to be in the OR for two spine surgeries and the final was just enjoying time with my team.
