Tell me a little about your background?
I was actively involved in sports and local organizations. Then, I attended the University of Arkansas where I received my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology – Exercise Science in a short 3 and a half years. Less than 2 months later I went on to attend MSC.
Why were you interested in Medical Sales? What drew you to this industry?
I always knew I wanted to be in the healthcare field. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do at first, but I knew I didn’t want to pursue a career that requires attending a graduate program. After much research I found the Medical Sales College online and knew this was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up.
How long did you try to get into the industry? What was that experience like?
I didn’t. I graduated college in December and attended MSC at the beginning of February! I knew I needed the extra experience for me to stand out to employers.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I found MSC online when researching the industry.
What ultimately made you decide to attend the College?
After reading the student testimonials that’s when I knew this program was a good fit for me.
Describe your experience once you began training with Medical Sales College.
Within the 8-week program I learned way more than I ever thought possible. They gave us so much information every day, but the activities and hands-on training was really what helped me grasp and retain the information. I’m very pleased with my experience and I couldn’t imagine trying to break into the industry without attending MSC! They really want everyone to be successful and set us up very well with all the information pertaining to the industry.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
To just be yourself! The interview process is all about them getting to know you and who you are as a person. It’s all about you selling yourself and what you can bring to the team.
Please briefly explain your job interview process.
My interview process was fairly quick! I received an email from a territory manager to come in for an initial face-to-face interview. From there, I had a “task” to complete and then another face-to-face interview before I was offered the position.
Why should someone attend the Medical Sales College if they want this career?
If you are looking to gain professional experience or experience pertaining to the industry I highly recommend attending MSC! I had no prior B2B experience and was a very recent college graduate. I knew it would be difficult for me to break into the industry due to my background. This course was the best way to quickly gain that hands-on experience!
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
That landing a job really is all about how well you can sell yourself in the interview process! They don’t care about what or how much you learned at MSC. They wanted to learn about me so it was a lot of preparing and gathering my experiences to be able to confidently talk about them.
