Tell me a little about your background?
I completed my 4 year degree at Texas State University with a BS in Exercise Sports Science with a concentration in Clinical Population. I have always enjoyed helping others and the medical field just fits what I wanted to do.
Why were you interested in Medical Sales? What drew you to this industry?
The opportunity to always be challenged and be in a different environment every day.
How long did you try to get into the industry? What was that experience like?
I didn’t try because I heard about how hard it was.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I was looking up internship opportunities to finish my degree and that is how I came across MSC.
What ultimately made you decide to attend the College?
The opportunity to break into the medical device industry.
Describe your experience once you began training with Medical Sales College.
The training at MSC gave me the best opportunity to land the job that I did with Abbott as a Clinical Specialist. Knowing how to prepare for an interview was a huge asset in my opinion.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
Learning how to connect on LinkedIn from Scott actually landed me the connection and ultimately the job opportunity with Abbott.
Please briefly explain your job interview process.
My interview process was long. I had an initial phone interview, completed a ride along, phone conversation with the regional manager, interview with the regional manager in person, and then interviewed with the Vice President in person as well. It took a month to receive my offer letter after the initial verbal offer.
Why should someone attend the Medical Sales College if they want this career?
One should attend MSC to get a better understanding of the industry and the interview process. How one prepares for an interview will show if you can put in the hard work when it is needed.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
All the opportunities within the industry and how one can truly grow and become the best version of their selves.
