Former collegiate baseball player at Potomac State College where I received an associates degree in Business Administration. I then transferred and graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Exercise Physiology. Before attending MSC I operated my own personal training business.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
Medical sales has a very competitive environment that is intriguing to me. Also, I feel that putting the proper products into a customer’s hands is a way that I can make an impact on helping the patient achieve their maximum quality of life.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
A former personal training client of mine.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I decided to attend MSC because it was without question that having MSC on my resume would help me standout from the other job applicants within the industry. I knew that getting a job in the medical sales space was a challenge and that I would need a differentiating factor to be successful in getting hired.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
The training at MSC was great! It gave me a very thorough understanding on what to expect within the medical sales industry. I feel that it prepared me with a great baseline of knowledge that I can carry with me and build off of as I gain experience in the field.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
Be authentic and patient. If an employer likes you as you naturally are then that is someone that you want to work for. The job hunting process is challenging and there may be a lot of swings and misses. Remaining patient and persistent was a huge help for me while applying.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
I feel that someone should attend MSC because they are passionate about working in the medical field. MSC will help differentiate you from other job applicants and show potential employers that you are willing to make an investment in order to standout from the competition. In the end, just like other things, you will get out of it what you put in. Be ready to work! I believe that MSC gives you an upper hand going into the job interview process by ensuring that you are prepared and ready to crush your interview!
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I actually did not pursue a job before attending MSC.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
It was quite lengthy but overall great. I liked that the process was lengthy because that let me know that they were very thorough in who they hired and took pride in who would be representing their company.
What is your current job like?
Currently a lot of mandatory training processes then ride alongs with current employees.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
I can’t really say that there is anything that I wish I had known.
