Tell me a little about your background?

I majored in Kinesiology.

Why were you interested in Medical Sales? What drew you to this industry?

What drew me to medical sales was the fact that I am able to be in the OR daily with a surgeon that will hopefully see me as a source of knowledge for the medical device I am selling. Also being recession-proof are some of the reasons I choose this field.

How long did you try to get into the industry? What was that experience like?

6 months roughly.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I had a friend go through the program before me.

What ultimately made you decide to attend the College?

After trying to break into the industry for 6ish months, I realized that a program like MSC was something that would not only help me break into the industry but also give my knowledge I would not be able to find anywhere else.

Describe your experience once you began training with Medical Sales College.

Education-wise the training was wonderful at MSC. I am able to feel confident when interviewing and walk into a job and feel like I know what I am doing. I wish there would have been more hands on training and first-hand experience in the OR though.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

How to interview- how to speak confidently with employers and feel confident when walking into a role. Although I will have training for my specific company, MSC allowed me to get a strong base to build on.

Please briefly explain your job interview process.

I had 3 interviews. The company I interviewed with had just lost their sales rep and needed to fill the position quickly- I had one phone interview with my now boss, then a conference interview with him and 2 other employees, and then I was flown out to Nashville for a in-person interview where they offered me the position.

Why should someone attend the Medical Sales College if they want this career?

If you feel like you are lacking the confidence and knowledge to break into the field because you don’t have experience, MSC is the best option for this. To me- it increases the chances of you getting a job without having multiples years of sales experience.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

I would have liked to shadow a rep.
