Tell me a little about your background?

I have been a sales rep in the diagnostic imaging business for the past 8 years.

Why were you interested in Medical Sales? What drew you to this industry?

My family has a history of professionals in the medical industry, so growing up around it made me feel like it would be a good fit for me.

How long did you try to get into the industry? What was that experience like?

I have been trying to get into orthopedic sales for the past 18 months or so. I found it to be difficult because I did not have the OR experience necessary that most jobs required.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I connected with a representative of the Medical Sales College and also found information on the school though online searches.

What ultimately made you decide to attend the College?

I thought this would be the best way for future employers to see how dedicated I am to becoming a successful rep in this field.

Describe your experience once you began training with Medical Sales College.

It was a great experience. MSC gave me the foundation needed to break in this industry: profiling surgeons/ facilities, understanding of various surgeries/instruments/implants, biologics, and anatomy. Upon graduating, I felt comfortable speaking with other reps, hiring managers, and surgeons.

What from your training did you specifically use during the interview process that ultimately helped you land your position?

The company booklets we learned how to put together were something that really set me apart from other candidates. I received compliments from everyone I interviewed with about them.

What will you do in your new job?

I will be covering spine cases for both Neurosurgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons in the Santa Cruz, CA area.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

Everything I learned was valuable. I will apply and build upon what was taught throughout my career in this field.

Why should someone attend the Medical Sales College if they want this career?

If they are serious about getting into orthopedic sales, MSC will provide the tools needed to become a success.
