Tell me a little about your background?
After college, I got my Associates in Veterinary Technology. Worked over 4 years in the industry and decided I wanted a career change. After working in the service industry for a while I attended Medical Sales College.
Why were you interested in Medical Sales? What drew you to this industry?
Honestly I want to help people. I want to work in an industry that is innovating and shaping people’s lives daily.
How long did you try to get into the industry? What was that experience like?

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
A friend of mine attended the Dallas ORT program.
What ultimately made you decide to attend the College?
She got a job in the industry and said it was a great way to bridge the gap between my experiences and break into the industry.
Describe your experience once you began training with Medical Sales College.
Very intensive and much harder than I thought it would be. We had a variety of instructors with a variety of experience and each of them brought something different to the table. I think it gave me a great foundation for my future career.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
Rejection will happen a lot and perseverance is important.
Please briefly explain your job interview process.
I heard about the position from my placement coordinator. She facilitated the introduction and the hiring manager set up a phone interview. At the end of that we set up an in-person interview. They gave me the offer later that day.
Why should someone attend the Medical Sales College if they want this career?
If they have no sales experience it is a great way to break in. It can give someone the tools to bridge the gap between their previous experience and the industry that they want to get in to.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
It takes longer to find a job than I thought it would. You don’t hear back from many of the jobs you apply to. The sales route isn’t for everyone and there are lots of other options within the industry.
