Tell me a little about your background?

My background is in insurance and financial sales.

Why were you interested in Medical Sales? What drew you to this industry?

I have always enjoyed the process of sales. I looked into medical sales earlier in my career but was not able to break into the industry.

How long did you try to get into the industry? What was that experience like?

I tried to get into the industry for quite some time. The process was a little discouraging at times.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I learned about Medical Sales College while doing research online on the medical sales industry.

Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?

I believe most people have some fear when embarking on anything new. One of my fears was, what if I went through the program and was still unable to break into the industry?

What ultimately made you decide to attend the College?

What ultimately made me decide to attend the college was that if I didn’t give it a shot, I would never know if the program worked or not.

Describe your experience once you began training with Medical Sales College.

My experience once I began my training with Medical Sales College was extremely positive. There was a lot to learn in a short amount of time, but the training we received was second to none. Our instructor, Eric Nofsinger, was extremely knowledgeable. All of my classmates have become lifelong friends.

Explain what your interview process was like.

The interview process had many steps. I had an initial phone interview with a Stryker recruiter. I then had a phone interview with my manager followed by a face to face with him. From there I completed a Gallup Sales Test, a ride-along with a local rep, and another phone interview with the Director of Sales. Finally, I flew to Seattle and had 3 more face to face interviews with the Marketing Director, Senior Director of Sales, and Senior Human Resources Manager. I was offered the position shortly thereafter.

What from your training did you specifically use during the interview process that ultimately helped you land your position?

I am positive that the business plan/30-60-90 helped tremendously during the interview process. Everyone was very impressed that I had put so much time and effort in.

Why should someone attend the Medical Sales College if they want this career?

Without the training I received at Medical Sales College, I don’t believe I would have the knowledge, network, and confidence that I will be successful in the medical sales industry.
