Every instructor I had was incredibly helpful, very thoughtful, and experts in their specialty.
Describe your Career Development training experience.
This is one of the most helpful aspects of MSC in my opinion. The ability to bounce ideas off of very insightful individuals to navigate the interview process is unmatched. This definitely gives you a leg up on a lot of individuals.
How did the training at MSC add to your existing clinical knowledge?
I went from knowing very little, to feeling very comfortable.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
Be prepared to work, be humble, and be willing to do things that other people wont, and you will be in the industry for a very long time.
How did placement services help accelerate your entry into the medical device sales industry?
How to prepare 30/60/90 sales plans, and product/ instrument presentations to solidify the job.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
If you want to break in, i personally believe this is the best way if you don’t have an in already.
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
About 2 years. I never made it past the 2nd interview. I don’t think I would have broke in if I didn’t attend MSC. I wouldn’t know how to navigate the interview process, have the anatomical knowledge, and I wouldn’t have been able to compete with students who did attend MSC.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
1st contact was a phone call screen. 2nd in person interview with the sales manager. Next was a shadowing opportunity with Depuy rep in Daytona Beach at Advent health Flagler. Next was another shadowing opportunity with 3 Depuy reps in Clearwater at Morton plant hospital. Final interview was in person in Daytona Beach with 2 Depuy reps and sales manager; giving a presentation of attune knee instruments.
