With over 25 years of experience in medical device sales, management, education, and business development, Scott Schwartz is a seasoned professional dedicated to advancing the industry and its workforce. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Scott served for five years in the U.S. Army, with postings in Europe and the Middle East.

Scott’s career in the medical device industry began in Seattle, where he worked for Walter Lorenz Surgical, Synthes USA, and Zimmer, Inc., consistently exceeding sales targets and earning numerous awards. Early in his tenure at Zimmer, he played a pivotal role in converting a significant portion of the orthopedic trauma business at a top U.S. trauma center.

In 2001, Scott relocated to San Diego and expanded his career, taking on various leadership positions at Zimmer and later Zimmer Biomet. His roles included regional management, national sales director, trauma contract director, and most recently, business development for an innovative implant-bone interface company. Throughout these experiences, Scott has continually demonstrated a passion for innovation and advancing healthcare solutions.

In addition to his leadership and sales achievements, Scott has maintained a strong commitment to medical education. He has actively contributed to numerous AO Trauma courses and played a key role in training corporate personnel and sales associates. His ability to educate healthcare professionals through the sales process has been a hallmark of his career.

Scott now brings his wealth of knowledge and passion for education to the Medical Sales College, where he is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of industry leaders and sharing his expertise with students.
