Sports Medicine
The MSC Sports Medicine Program focuses primarily on arthroscopic procedures of the knee and shoulder. These procedures are considered minimally invasive surgical procedures, and are most often used to repair torn joint tissue such as ligaments, tendons, menisci, or cartilage. Because these procedures are frequently performed on athletes (from “weekend warriors” to professionals), sales reps who have a history in competitive athletics are frequently well received.
The growing market for the aging athlete has contributed to an exponential increase in the number of procedures being performed, thus necessitating a highly specialized team of representatives to support these procedures.
By the time a student completes our Sports Medicine Program students will have studied the products and procedures related to: Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction (including Graft Selection,
Fixation, Single-Bundle, Double-Bundle, and Anteriomedial Portal Approaches); Meniscal Repairs; Medial and Lateral Collateral Ligament Repairs; Rotator Cuff Repairs; Labral Repairs (Including Bankart and SLAP Lesions); Impingement Syndrome; Acromioclavicular (AC) Joint Disorders; and Bicipital Tendon Pathologies.
